The theme for this week's PhotoHunt is Important. I thought of a few different things I could post. I thought maybe posting a picture of my daughters since they are of infinite importance to me, but Josh said that's too boring. I thought maybe taking a picture of some of our Red Sox stuff since they're important to us, but I used a Red Sox item last week. I thought maybe I could do something along the lines of TNChick and post something medical, like the machine we're using for Josie's breathing treatments right now. But in the end I decided to post this badge. I find law enforcement to be of great importance.

For whatever it's worth, there are three members of my generation in my family: my brother, my first cousin and myself. There is five years' difference in our ages from the oldest (me) to the youngest (my cousin). My brother and my cousin became law enforcement officers early on. I worked in radio, became a legal editor then entered into a 10-year television career. Ironically, I recently ended up becoming involved professionally in law enforcement here in the state of Florida. However as my brother and my cousin are both sworn officers, I work behind the scenes and a non-sworn member of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. I keep telling my Momma that maybe they'll be crazy enough to issue me a badge and a gun. Heh-heh.
