Pillsbury Bake-Off: You Be the Judge *giveaway*

I grew up surrounded by cookbooks. I'm serious, my mom has hundreds of them. Still to this day she picks up the Pillsbury recipe books/magazines when they come out. I've often been the lucky recipient of what she's made and much of it has been delicious. There was this one instance of Raspberry Chicken gone wrong, we lovingly renamed it Chicken Pickles. But I'm positive that wasn't a Pillsbury recipe because those have always been good.

Pillsbury is at it again and wants to make someone's day. Right now voting for the 44th Pillsbury Bake-Off® Contest is going on in a You Be the Judge contest. From now until October 1, 2009 you can visit www.bakeoff.com and cast your vote for which recipe you think should win the $1 million prize! They'll be posting recipes in pairs and you can vote once for each pair. The recipe from each pair that wins the most votes will earn a spot in the final competition, April 11-13, 2010, in Orlando, Florida. Every two weeks a new pair of recipes will be listed. Visit www.bakeoff.com for full details.

Thanks to Pillsbury and MyBlogSpark two Red Sox Mommy readers can win a Pillsbury Bake-Off prize pack! This consists of a magazine of past Bake-Off® recipes and a Pillsbury Doughboy giggle doll. My girls have been having fun with the Pillsbury Doughboy I received and just tonight my husband and I made the Chocolate Chip-Peanut Butter Squares that can be found on page 88. There are so many other recipes we're anxious to try like the Cinco de Mayo Glazed Chicken Wings (page 8) and the Tex-Mex Pasta (page 62).

To enter, just answer the following question: What do you think makes a winning recipe?

For extra entries you can do one or more of the following after doing the above requirement:

- Vote for a pair of recipes and come back and leave a comment letting me know you did so (1 entry)
- Check out the Past Bake-Off Recipes and tell me which one sounds awesome to you (1 entry)
- Blog about this giveaway (5 entries, leave 5 comments)
- Follow me on Twitter (@RedSoxMommy) and tweet about this giveaway, you can do this one once per day, just leave a comment each time (1 entry each time)
- Add my button to your blog (2 entries, leave 2 comments) or add my URL to your blogroll (1 entry)
- Become a follower (on Blogger) or subscriber (1 entry)
- Enter any of my other giveaways (see left sidebar) (1 entry for each one you enter, just leave a comment letting me know which one you entered)

Disclaimer: You must have a US mailing address. You must leave a valid email address so I can contact you if you win. I will not use the addresses for any other purpose. You must follow the first entry requirement before any extra entries will be counted as valid. No "count me in" style comments will be qualified to win, please follow the directions. You have until July 14, 2009 at 11:59pm MT to enter. I will choose the winners at random soon after that time and they will have 72 hours to respond to the winning notification or a new winner(s) will be chosen by the same method. The winners' addresses will be given to the sponsor so they can mail out the prize. No one related to me may win.

Good luck!
