Dropps *giveaway*

Lately I've been trying to be more conscious of making choices that are good for our environment. I'm far from perfect, but I believe every decision, big or small, can make a difference. I've switched over to using re-usable grocery bags when I go shopping (at least when I remember to bring them inside), I've started using many different cleaners for the home and I even bought an aluminum water bottle to reduce the plastic waste. So why am I telling you all this? Because I've been introduced to another product that is environmentally friendly and one of you Red Sox Mommy readers will be able to win some for yourself.

This product is called Dropps, it's a laundry soap that makes doing laundry easier and is good for our world. I was sent a couple samples, enough to do 4 medium loads of laundry. It really was easy to use. I just dropped the detergent pac in my washing machine and let the clothes get clean. There was no measuring or pouring. The Dropps didn't take up much space at all either. So easy!

Dropps are High-Efficiency compatible because they're a low suds soap. These pacs are biodegradable, dissolving fully in the wash. They're also phosphate, chlorine and NPE free. And for those of you with septic tanks you're in luck because they're safe for your use as well.

Now, I did say one of you would win some of these nifty Dropps, didn't I? If you want to win three 20 load pouches, that's approximately a 3 month supply, all you have to do is leave a comment on this post letting me know something you're doing to help the environment.

After you've completed that entry you can feel free to do one or more of the following for more entries. Just make sure you're leaving separate comments for all since I use random.org to pick my winners by their comment number.

- Visit the Dropps website and tell me what scent appeals most to you. (1 entry)
- Blog about this giveaway (5 entries, leave 5 comments)
- Add my button to your blog (2 entries, leave 2 comments) or add my URL to your blogroll (1 entry)
- Become a follower (on Blogger) and/or subscriber (1 entry each)
- Fave this blog on Technorati (1 entry) Add to Technorati Favorites
- Follow me on Twitter (@RedSoxMommy) and tweet about this giveaway, you can do this one once per day, just leave a comment each time (1 entry each time)

Disclaimer: You must have a US mailing address. You must leave a valid email address so I can contact you if you win. I will not use the addresses for any other purpose. You must follow the first entry requirement before any extra entries will be counted as valid. No "count me in" style comments will be qualified to win, please follow the directions. You have until August 16, 2009 at 11:59pm MT to enter. I will choose the winner at random soon after that time and s/he will have 72 hours to respond to the winning notification or a new winner will be chosen by the same method. No one related to me may win. The winner's info will be given to the sponsor so they can mail out the prize.

Good luck!

I do many things to help the environment, but first and foremost, I am conscious of the way that I live. I don't do or buy things haphazardly. I think first about what short-term and long-term effects my decision will have, and then act accordingly.

I'm trying to do those "little" things that add up too. We've changed our light bulbs and use cloth bags for shopping. We take quicker showers, have cut back on water usage, unplug appliances when we're not using them, and turn off the lights when we leave a room.

Heather22 said...

One thing I'm doing to help the environment is to stop using disposable water bottles. I bought several reusable bottles (two for each family member.) I fill the water bottles and set them in the fridge, that way my family has water to go. It keeps them hydrated and reduces the chance that they will buy a bottled water when they're out and about.
