Elefun and Friends *giveaway*

My daughters, especially my 4 year old, love games! For the longest time my daughter was begging for Elefun, every couple weeks it would come up somehow that she wanted it. When my dad was here last month she finally got it...what can I say, he's a sucker for his grandkids. Around the same time MyBlogSpark contacted me asking if I wanted to let my daughters enjoy two more games from the Elefun and Friends line. After seeing how much fun they were having with Elefun I was excited to let them try out these other selections.

The one we liked the most is Scatterpillar Scramble. It's definitely for children 4 and older. My 4 year old loved it and wanted to play it again and again. My 2 year old wanted to join in and seemed to have fun, although she failed at it miserably, but with help from mommy she didn't seem to care. She was just happy to be included. The object is to get little marble like balls from their tray and onto the "scatterpillar's" hands with the help of a little pair of tongs. The twist is the "scatterpillar" is dancing around to upbeat music the whole time.

Now, just because Scatterpillar Scramble was our favorite, that doesn't mean Giraffalaff Limbo wasn't fun. This game can be described pretty well by the name. It's a giraffe themed limbo game that leads to lots of laughs as children spin to see what kind of move they're supposed to do as they limbo under the giraffe, but watch out, if the giraffe falls you're out! No worries though, this is an encouraging giraffe and he'll encourage preschoolers along as they try to be the one who can go the lowest (Or so I've heard, we actually didn't have the right size batteries for this one and didn't get to experience it with sound...yet) . Both my girls had fun with this game. My only complaint is I found it hard to disassemble to put back in the box, so we've had to leave it put together making it harder to keep away from well meaning kids (i.e. my 2 year old) who can ruin it.

Are you interested in giving these games a try with your preschoolers? Click on the Elefun and Friends logo to the right to download a coupon to save $4 off any Elefun and Friends game. The coupon is good until December 31, 2009, but it's only available to download until October 31, 2009. Don't miss out, these games would make perfect gifts this upcoming holiday season. After you get your game, don't forget to check out www.elefunandfriends.com where you can enter a code from inside your game box that allows you to watch The Tangled Tale, a short Elefun and Friends film.

Also, one Red Sox Mommy reader will win both of the games that my daughters received. To enter just leave a comment answering the following:

- Tell me about a silly, active playtime moment you've had with your kids/grandkids/nieces and nephews...any kids important to you.

If you'd like more chances to win you can do one or more of the following after doing the above requirement:

- Blog about this giveaway (5 entries, leave 5 comments).
- Follow me on Twitter (@RedSoxMommy) and tweet about this giveaway, you can do this one once per day, just leave a comment each time (1 entry each time). Mention @RedSoxMommy and Elefun in your tweets please.
- Add my button to your blog (2 entries, leave 2 comments) or add my URL to your blogroll (1 entry) (Please note my URL recently changed to redsoxmom.com, the code for the button in my sidebar reflects this change if you want to switch to this new code).
- Become a follower or subscriber (1 entry).
- Fave this blog on Technorati (1 entry). Add to Technorati Favorites

Disclaimer: You must have a US mailing address. You must leave a valid email address so I can contact you if you win. I will not use the addresses for any other purpose. You must follow the first entry requirement before any extra entries will be counted as valid. No "count me in" style comments will be qualified to win, please follow the directions. You have until November 3, 2009 at 11:59pm MT to enter. I will choose the winner at random soon after that time and s/he will have 72 hours to respond to the winning notification or a new winner will be chosen by the same method. The winner's info will be given to the sponsor so they can mail out the prize.

Good luck!

The games and information for this review and giveaway were provided as part of a program with Hasbro and MyBlogSpark. My thoughts on the games are my honest opinion.

We have this card game call "Teen Talk". So after dinner I or my husband will address a question to one of our children and they must answer it. This is another form of communication with our teens. They love it for the most part!!:)
