Tonight was date night. It had been a long time since we'd been out on a date and even longer since we'd been out with another couple. In fact, this was the first time we'd ever hired a teenage babysitter. In the past we've always left our girls with family members, thus why we rarely go out...no family lives near us.
Anyway, we had a great time! We were out with one of the same couples from game night a couple nights ago and again there were lots of laughs. Some were at me because of the hole in my teeth because I can't afford to get a crown put on where a temporary filling was put in after a root canal over a year ago (it's a back tooth, it's not like anyone can see it...but my husband started the jokes and "the cat was out of the bag" about it). I won't go into details about the jokes that were made because honestly, they were a little dirty, but it left me thinking I should look for a Orange New Jersey cosmetic dentist...oh, if only I were in New Jersey. Lol! But seriously, I'd love to get to a dentist...if only to lose my apparent new nickname. *rolls eyes*

We seriously need to get out more, it was so nice to have a break from our stresses!

I envy you. We only get a date night once or twice a year. I can't hire a babysitter for the kids, because it is difficult to find anyone that I can trust to watch my autistic son. I would love to be able to just go hang out somewhere with my husband more often.
Date night is the best! So glad you had a chance to get out with your hubs, especially with all of the house stuff you've been caught up with!
