I'll admit it...

I'm in a funk. I big, fat, not cool, FUNK!

We haven't had working plumbing for more than 24 hours. That means I've had to use the gas station bathroom just to get my...err, um...business done. My youngest is in a diaper and my older daughter has used the park bathroom (during her soccer game) and has been in a pull-up (I hope that isn't scarring her for life). My husband, well...he's a man, it's easier for them to just go in the bushes.

I had a friend come watch the girls yesterday while I used another friend's shower.

I'm so down. I'm so very, very down.

We've lived here since September 19th...we've had plumbing issues since September 20th. Last night the plumber couldn't get it done and left around 7:30pm, saying he'd be back in the morning. It's almost 4pm...he isn't here yet.

(Insert LOUD, hair pulling scream here)

I need a shower, I need to use my own freaking bathroom, I need to have a house that works. And I need my husband to stop feeling like this is his fault. It's NOT his fault!

Ugh so sorry- I can't even imagine- I have fits when they have regularly scheduled maintenance for a few hours when I'm home.
Hope they get it fixed soon.

Oh no! I'm so sorry. I would scream too! I'd also be calling that plumber and telling him he better get over asap because you have no access to the facilities.

Oh, pally, I feel for you. We were out of electricity for 3 days a few years back and I know how terrible it is to live without modern conveniences. You will survive, you just have to buck up and make the best of it. Do you have a rec center in your community that you could go and take your showers at night? It will get fixed and you will live life normally again, but until then, try to view it as an adventure--a really, really bad adventure.

Hugs, pally. This too shall pass, hang in there.

I'm sorry you're dealing with this crummy situation. I can see why you'd be in a funk, I think you've been doing well putting up with it for sooo long patiently. After a day or two I'd lose my mind...I know I would bc I had a similar situation happen to me, but I had a second bathroom in the house atleast in the 3 wks meanwhile. I hope it gets resolved real soon! I'm wishing no more house worries for you for a very long long time, bc it seems you've had more than your share!

Oh, I have been there! I hate having to use other people's bathrooms! Thinking of you!

I am so relating to you. We have been remodeling our kitchen going on a year so needless to say our whole house is a wreck and it drives me crazy on a daily basis!
