Softlips Galore! *giveaway*

I remember thinking Softlips lip protectant was just about the coolest stuff ever when I was younger. I loved the long slim tubes, they felt so delicate and more fun than traditional lip balm tubes. Still now, all grown up with with little ones of my own, I find Softlips to be fun. But, in the many years that have passed since my first tube, the selection of Softlips choices has grown and grown!

I've been wanting to share with you just how much they've changed for awhile now. But, well, I've been living in a bit of a "money pit" and have been a little preoccupied with sewage in my utility room, lack of heat and hot water and a plethora of other things. I know, fun, right? Um, not so much! Lol! But we seem to be emerging from the troubles (fingers and toes crossed, big wind storms tonight and tomorrow...darn tree threatening to fall on our house) and I have a moment to share the fun new flavors...some of them are available for only a limited time!

I feel pretty lucky that I was sent several tubes in many of the new and limited flavors. And it's because I got those that I can honestly tell you how I feel about them. Sure, I have the bias of being a longtime Softlips lover. But that just means it's a product I've believed in for a long time and now it's just gotten a bit more fun.

In 2008 Softlips introduced a couple flavors of 100% natural, organic lip conditioners (Pomegranate and Honeydew). They call this line PURE and they've added four new flavors - Peppermint, Acai Berry, Papaya and Chai Tea. These tantalizing flavors are eco-friendly all the way from their ingredients to their packaging, which happens to be recyclable and printed with vegetable-based ink. There are no animal byproducts and they're not tested on animals. Theses are lightly flavored and feel just as smooth as the name "Softlips" would imply. I'm using the Acai Berry flavor at the moment and it is indeed very light and smooth. They retail for a suggested price of $2.99 for the 0.07 ounce stick and can be found at mass retailers, supermarkets and drug stores nationwide. And if you happen to be in Target (lucky you!) you're likely to find a display in the natural beauty section.

The next line of Softlips are limited edition only, but I'm super excited about them. These Winter flavors are a reminder of the fun holiday season ahead with delicious sounding flavors like Winter Mint, Sugar Cookie, Sugar & Spice and Sugar Plum Berry. The very first tube I tried when they all arrived was the Winter Mint...LOVE it! I'm a sucker for anything mint and this is no exception. With their SPF 20 and their layer of protection, they're perfect for keeping lips soft in the harsh winter months. I like them so much I'm sure I'll be applying them often throughout the year. These flavors retail for a suggested retail price of $2.99 to $3.99 for the 2 tube value pack. The Winter flavors were made available last month and you can find Sugar & Spice with Vanilla and Sugar Plum Berry with Cherry at Target and Winter Mint with Vanilla and Sugar Cookie with Cherry at Walgreens.
