The holidays are officially over at our house. I put the tree and decorations away a couple days ago, but that's not what makes the holidays over. Nope...the holidays are over because family is gone (or almost gone).
For the last almost 2 weeks we've had family here. First it was my dad for a few days and then it was my mom for a week and a half. But in a few hours we'll be headed out to the airport to see her off as she returns home to her normal, hyper little kids free life. Speaking of those little cuties, because they're so young we really don't have any New Year's Eve plans...they'll be sleeping. So...the holidays are OVER!
Is it sad that I'm excited about this? No, not excited that family is gone. But excited that the holidays are finished for another year.
I'm so ready for 2010 to start. Who knows what 2010 will have in store for us, but the last few months of 2009 have been anything but stellar and I'm ready for a new start. And I have big plans, nothing so big that I'd need safety glasses, although my husband might have some of those plans with his new tools. My new plans aren't even for this website or anything online. But I have plans for me, for my family and I'm excited to get working on them. And yes, I know, January 1st is an arbitrary date. You can get started with new goals at any time. But it seems like a great time to get started. Because, seriously, there's just something about January 1st that seems fresh and new.
Do you have plans for 2010?

Happy New Year!
Although your kids will be sleeping you can still party a bit at home, can´t you :)
Hope 2010 brings all the best for you & your family.
Hugs, Mizé.
Grammy and I are staying home with Maya. She is sleeping over night so her mother can go out. We can't think of a better way to start the New Year.
Happy New Year
Happy New Year! I hope you find so much happiness in 2010 and leave behind all those issues from 2009. I agree that January is the perfect time to start new goals. Something new and fresh and promising!
