Need help with toy shopping?

The holidays are here! And if your children are anything like mine then they're asking for pretty much every toy they see on t.v. So how do you decide which ones are worth buying and which ones don't live up to their hype? Enter ToyInfo.org, which helps you find the toys that are safe for your family, and ToyAwards.org, a website designed to share the toys named as the best toys of the year (chosen by toy industry experts).

Looking around ToyInfo.org I noticed a discussion board where you can discuss toys, toys and more toys as well as a listing of toy recalls and links to toy safety and play resource sites. I was relieved when I looked at the list of recalled toys for 2009 and none of my kids' toys were on that list.

ToyAwards.org lists all the best toys. I think it's a great resource if you're stuck wondering what to get your children, nephews, nieces, friends' kids and more. Looking at the toys, it was kind of fun to see some that I liked or wanted as a child like Little Tikes Cozy Coupe, which happens to be celebrating it's 30th anniversary. Wow! I feel so old! Lol! Visitors to ToyAwards.org can register to win a prize package and can even vote for their favorite toys.
