About a week ago we received a rather exciting package in the mail. This package contained the Moon Dough Barnyard Play Set. Only my 3 year old and I were home at the time and she was ecstatic when I opened the package and pulled out the box with the Moon Dough set. She couldn't wait to pick her sister up from school so she could show it to her. Sadly, I didn't let them open it that day...I know, I know, mean mommy!I was hesitant to open it to be honest with you. I'm not a fan of messes and wasn't in the mood to deal with one that night, or the next, or the next. Again, yes, mean mommy! But we did eventually open it up and the girls had a blast playing. The dough itself is hardly like any other dough I've ever experienced. It certainly isn't sticky or gooey. It's soft and feels almost like foam. Because of it's unique make up it never dries out! It's also hypo-allergenic and wheat-free. My only disappointment is it's really, really messy! Sure, it's not a gooey mess, but it breaks apart into so many little pieces and the colors mix together and once they do that there's no getting them separate again. I don't think my kids will mind the mixed colors though.
You have several different options when purchasing Moon Dough. In addition to the Barnyard Play Set there is also a Pizza Shop, Magic Molding Doghouse, Burger Shop and individual and double refill packs. Moon Dough is available in 8 fun colors: blue, green, white, orange, purple, red, pink and yellow. Speaking of purchasing Moon Dough, it can be found at Toys "R" Us, Target, Walmart, Kmart, Amazon.com, A.C. Moore, Michaels and eToys.
