Paper Mate Plant-A-Pen Challenge

With kids returning to school after a summer of fun, there's a lot of talk about school supplies. And I have some pretty exciting news about a couple of those supplies, pens and pencils, that you "green" folks will love! Paper Mate has come out with a new kind of pen and pencil that are biodegradable. Simply discard of the ink portion of the pen when you'd normally toss out the pen and then bury the rest outside. In about a year the pen casing will biodegrade! It's pretty darn cool and you can watch a demonstration of it on the Paper Mate website.

Tonight my family decided to take the Paper Mate Plant-A-Pen Challenge and bury one of our Paper Mate biodegradable pens. We dug up a hole in a non-grass part of your yard and dropped it in. Now we can feel a little more eco-friendly knowing we disposed of a pen in an earth friendly way.

If you're looking for ways to be more environmentally friendly you might want to look into getting a few of these pens and pencils, they're an easy way to do something for the planet.

Enjoy your back to school shopping!

I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Paper Mate and received the products necessary to facilitate my review. In addition, I received a gift certificate to thank me for taking the time to participate.
