Pillsbury Baking Mixes

Are you a fan of Pillsbury baking mixes? I am! Sure, I like making things from scratch as well, but sometimes you have limited time or just want a tasty treat quickly, that's when Pillsbury baking mixes come in handy.

Pillsbury is running a contest that started September 21 and runs through November. During this time fans of Pillsbury baking mixes, flours and frostings can visit www.pillsburybaking.com and enter the Pillsbury People Celebrate More Photo Contest. Simply submit a picture capturing an everyday family celebration along with a 200 words or less description of that moment and how the family experience made you feel. Ten photo/description finalists will be chosen and posted on www.pillsburybaking.com for a nationwide online vote to decide the winner (this will occur in January 2012). This winner will be invited to the ultimate hometown celebration for the Pillsbury Doughboy's birthday this Spring and a $10,000 family vacation to Florida!

Pillsbury has also introduced some fun new baking mixes just in time for the holiday season. I received the 3 mixes pictured in this post and have already made the Perfectly Pumpkin cookies. I frosted them with cream cheese frosting and they were awesomely delicious! Sure, I'm a sucker for anything pumpkin flavored this time of year, but these were really good and took hardly anytime at all to make. All I had to add to the mix was butter and an egg. So easy! Some of the other new flavors Pillsbury has added are: Mocha Fudge brownie mix, Cookie Mixes in Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Funfetti and Sugar Cookie, Sugar-Free Moist Supreme® Cake Mix in Classic Yellow and Devil’s Food, Sugar-Free Brownie Mix in Chocolate Fudge and Milk Chocolate and Sugar Free Creamy Supreme® Frosting in Chocolate Fudge and Vanilla.

I received a few new Pillsbury mixes in order to facilitate this review. No monetary compensation was received. Opinions expressed are my own.
