It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

December began in style...I guess. Today we woke up to a covering of white and it kept coming down all day. We had some wind, but fortunately it wasn't as bad as expected and most definitely wasn't as bad here as it was in Utah, California or even other parts of Colorado. But it's cold, really, really cold! But it all seems fitting with it being the first day of December, only 3 1/2 weeks until Christmas.

On Sunday we dressed our daughters up in the new Christmas dresses their grandma bought for them during Thanksgiving break and took pictures. Trying to get all 3 looking at the camera at the same time, let alone all smiling, was nearly impossible. But we got a few cute shots. The one in this post is cute, but didn't make the cut for the Christmas card. I don't want to post the ones we chose because I have family who reads my blog and I want for the first time they see the pictures to be when they open their cards. (That sentence sounds awkward...hope it makes sense, it's late and for some reason my vision just started doing weird things...unless my laptop screen being all crooked is normal, but it feels a little vertigo-ish. Hmmm...maybe I should go to bed?)

I ordered our Christmas cards last night. Once again, I ended up picking something completely different than I originally posted about. Oh well...this one really fits the colors of the girls' dresses and my husband really likes it. It was my second choice, but I let my husband get his way. Yeah, I'm cool like that...sometimes. ;)

Anyway, our tree is up, our living room is decorated and I'm planning what to take to a few holiday parties we've been invited to. We're about halfway done Christmas shopping and I'm ready for the festivities.
