This weekend went so fast! I swear I blinked and it was over! We spent the weekend celebrating my husband's birthday. It was a BIG birthday for him...but one I passed a few years ago. He's finally 30...I feel little less like a cougar now that he's joined me in the 30s! ;)
Money is tight this year...ok, every year. So I was on a limited budget. He just took a new position in the patrol that has him at a desk much of the time. So I made him something for his desk...a candy dish. The picture isn't from the best angle, but it's decorated with baseball scrapbook paper...he too is a huge Red Sox fan, big surprise. But I felt I had to fill it up first too...so thanks to Pinterest (love that site!) I found this idea. He thought it was cute...although he's none too happy about being 30.
My kids had a great time teasing him about his birthday. They kept taunting him, "daddy, you're 30!" Lol! My daughter even cut out a bunch of hearts, wrote "30" on them and glued them to a piece of paper. She also cut out a circle of blue paper and colored it all black except a line in the middle...if you know about the "thin blue line" then you'll understand. She's only 6 and she thought of it all on her own. You can tell she's a law enforcement kid. Lol!

That's a really cute gift for him! I'm glad that your daughters had fun with it, too.
